The Law
Since they have no way to measure their own B.A.C. (blood alcohol content), drinkers must guess if they are safe enough to drive and then take an extremely risky chance of being arrested and charged with D.U.I. Like the early car drivers who could not tell their speed, drinkers who drive today have no speedometer to help indicate if they are breaking the laws. Millions of Americans are pulled over or stopped at a sobriety check point and asked to blow into the police officer’s breathalyzer. If they produce a number 0.08% or higher, they fail and face heavy consequences.
